By the time the movie ends, it is past 1 pm.

Naturally, he gets up well past 9 am and by the time he reaches his office; it is past 11 am.

The same routine then starts and his lunchtime is 4 pm, in between endless cups of Chai.

It is the light from the Mobile, the laptop, or even the TV – That Hollywood Movie is possibly affecting your sleep, and could even cause diabetes and obesity -according to researchers.

What is blue light?

Blue wavelengths—which are beneficial during daylight hours because they boost attention, reaction times, and mood seem to be the most disruptive at night.

And the proliferation of electronics with screens, as well as energy-efficient lighting, is increasing our exposure to blue wavelengths, especially after sundown.

Does TV emit blue light?

Yes, LED screens that are popular these days emit a great deal of blue light, which can be potentially harmful to the eyes.

Therefore, watching too much TV, especially late at night, can suppress melatonin production that makes us ready for sleep.

What is the Micro Change you must consider?

Stop watching that Hollywood Blockbuster or the latest Hindi Film late at night.

Start small.

Keep a cut-off time to go to sleep.

If you want to go to sleep at midnight, then keep an alarm at 11.45 midnight.

Then, at 11:15 switch off the movie.

Irrespective of how good the movie is, you can always watch Netflix tomorrow.

Now, give your eyes a 15-minute break in complete darkness on the sofa and then only go to bed!

Remember, 12midnight is the cutoff!

Remember, you have a big match to win with the customers and you want to be fresh ready. Just like our cricketers prepare for an important match tomorrow. The way cricket is being played these days, every day there is a match right. And the whole country wants them to win every match. Similarly, you want to win every day right?


Watching a movie till 2 pm and expecting to win a critical match from 11 am is surely not one of them.
