Shivaram is a much sought after Mentor, Consultant, Trainer and Speaker across multiple industry platforms. He founded Retail Gurukul in 2012 as a Consulting & Training company. Shivaram has since helped and continues to help retailers and manufacturers, significantly improve their business performance across various metrics.

He was earlier Tanishq’s Head of All India Merchandising, Training and Regional Sales for many years. His other experience includes stints in Exports, Watches, Pharma and Projects businesses across India.

He has a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Warangal and a PG Diploma in International Trade from The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.

He is also a regular columnist for the Retail Jeweller magazine sharing this knowledge and expertise. He is also an author of handbooks for the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager roles in the jewellery industry. Since late 2016, Shivaram has expanded his learning into Digital Marketing also regularly uses Facebook Live and other e-learning courses to connect with his clients.

Mr Arun Kumar

Bangalore based Arun Kumar, has 26 + years of hardcore jewellery retailing experience, having worked with the family-run retail stores, chains store like Tanishq and running his own Silver jewellery retailing business. He was the Store Manager for Tanishq’s no. 1 store in Bangalore for many years before setting up his own Silver Jewellery Retailing business. He has trained retail store staff across the country for Retail Gurukul Platinum Guild International Training Programs for years, across the country. He is also a certified trainer for the Government Skill Council.
He has deep domain expertise not only in-store staff management but also in “lean retailing”, stock turn improvement, managing customer satisfaction, grooming, product knowledge, multi-skilling, selling techniques etc. He is also experienced in improving making charges with deep product knowledge- selling opportunities, maintaining visual control, Kanban etc.
He conducts training in English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil.

Mr Vinod Lala

Mumbai based Vinod Lala, has 25+ years of jewellery sector experience, across companies like Tanishq, Gitanjali, Tara, where he was the Regional Sales Operations Manager. He has also over in Jamaica (West Indies) and Dubai for over 10 years.
His hands-on experience as a Store Manager gives him a deep insight into the opportunities and challenges faced by Store Staff during their day to day operations, customer service, target achievement, stock control etc. As a trainer, he has trained over 400+ jewellery store staff across multiple retailers including Mumbai, Jalgaon, Aurangabad etc.
He currently works with jewellers across the Western India Markets and trains in English and Hindi.
